Childbirth and Parenthood Education Classes
Welcome to antenatal classes with a difference!
Although they are called classes, they are really adult education sessions delivered in an informal easy-to-learn manner. Our classes cover all that is covered in a typical hospital based class, and more.
Having A Baby Class – In Person Class
Course Details: Learn from one of Sydney’s most experienced childbirth educators who has taught thousands of couples at a prestigious public hospital for over 30 years
- Be empowered with everything you need to know for labour, childbirth and early parenting
- Understand how labour works, your pain relief options and to be armed with a range of coping strategies
- Get a detailed overview of what actually happens in a caesarean
- Receive up to date advice on breastfeeding, attachment & positioning
- Understand how to care for your body during pregnancy and after childbirth
- Find out what to expect in the first few weeks with your new baby and get invaluable feeding, sleeping and settling tips from a parenting mentor
- Enjoy interacting with other couples in the same situation, sharing ideas, concerns & setting up a support network after the birth as new parents.
- Classes include a visit by new parents who will share their experience and advice
- A reunion class is also organised 8 weeks after the last baby is born.
Presentation: In-person at 182 Coward St Mascot
Class times & duration: From 9:30am – 4:00pm

Having A Baby - Combination In Person/Online
Course Details: Learn from one of Sydney’s most experienced childbirth educators who has taught thousands of couples at a prestigious public hospital for over 30 years

Having More Than One Baby - Online Class
Course Details: Learn from one of Sydney’s most experienced childbirth educators and a mother of twins herself, who has taught thousands of couples at a prestigious public hospital for over 30 years including 17 years’ experience conducting classes designed for multiple births
- Be empowered with everything you need to know for labour, childbirth and early parenting
- Understand how labour works, your pain relief options and to be armed with a range of coping strategies
- Get a detailed overview of what actually happens in a caesarean
- Receive up to date advice on breastfeeding, attachment & positioning
- Understand how to care for your body during pregnancy and after childbirth
- Find out what to expect in the first few weeks with your new baby and get invaluable feeding, sleeping and settling tips from a parenting mentor
- Enjoy interacting with other couples in the same situation, sharing ideas, concerns & setting up a support network after the birth as new parents.
- Classes include a visit by new multiple birth parents who will share their experience and advice
- A reunion class is also organised 8 weeks after the last babies are born.

Grandparents - Online Class
Course Details: Our Grandparents Class is a one session lecture style highly informative presentation.
Attending the Grandparents session enable you to:
- Learn today’s parenting practices as they have evolved since you raised your own children.
- Enjoy a tailored program for grandparents who want to learn and understand what is now taught to new parents.
- Learn from one of Sydney’s most experienced childbirth educators who has taught thousands of couples at a prestigious public hospital for over 30 years
- Learn in detail how to sleep babies safely which has changed significantly in recent years
- Experience a practical refresher on how to change a nappy and wrap a newborn
- Learn how to support your children’s emotional wellbeing at this exciting, yet sometimes difficult time
- The class will equip you to be a supportive and informed grandparent for today’s new parents.
Recommendation: It is recommended that if you are new grandparents, or as a parent-to be yourself, that your own parents understand what you have been taught, so everyone is ‘on the same page’.

Birth Intensive - Online Class
Course Details: Our Birth Intensive Class is a condensed (or intensive) lecture style presentation. This is a four-hour session designed for couples who prefer a lecture-style intensive information program.
Attending the Birth Intensive session enable you to:

- This course expands on leading information usually provided through hospital classes
- Be empowered with everything you need to know for labour and birth.

- Get a overview of what actually happens in a caesarean
Recommendation: It is recommended that you also book into the Baby Intensive Class
